Addiction 2023.4

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Last time I flew, it was a one-day deal to Topeka. I utilized the valet service at Canopy, and it worked out well. Just finding the end of the line to the TSA check was an adventure in itself.

I was going to do a 200K today, but one upside of not following a plan is the ability to beg off when there's a red flag warning. 25 degrees and feels like 11, isn't my cup of tea.

Spot on. Some rides unintentionally turn into one, and I've participated in more than my fair share of those. Subjecting myself to one on purpose, is lunacy. Farmland with a nice layer of snow on top of it, makes for a very cold breeze.

The Potatoes gave up the lead late to a team with a dog on its helmets.

the poor danes had a late night saturday game and now have to turn around and play friday in Brookings basically on a 5 day turnaround. wind gusts were like 50 mph yesterday. I think at least one punt was for -4 yards ....
Albany would be better off just staying in idaho and practicing.....

Thought you meant Brookings, OR for a second, thinking "Are they gonna play at a high school football field?"

I suspected. Just say no to Paxlovid and isolate for 4 more days.

50-50 AG gets it, unless she had it recently in which case she should be in the clear.

That would be rough. We've lucked out today so far, dead calm and Real Feel is on parity with actual temp, which is rising quite nicely, gonna be on the cusp of shorts weather this afternoon.

That thing that the whole family had last month? The one I brought back from Lancaster that then hit Mrs. GJ, and then The Boys? Apparently NOT COVID. The Younger Boy tested at the peak of symptoms and was negative.

Of course, it's possible it was a false negative, but we weren't in the mood to try, try, try again.
