Addiction 2024.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

there is a video specificly dealing with whining or chirping. It's the keyway walking out that does that. Mine actually grumbled cyclical as you rode it. If you look at the small pulley on the same axel as the flywheel, towards the inside there should be a set screw if you have an earlier one there isn't a set screw. I believe they use blue locktight on the keyway to stop it from moving around.

If it’s only $260 that’s a steal.

I don't know, but dogs have no business being in the stands at sporting events, much less being shown on TV.

I'm on the Chromebook now, because i was using it for another purpose and then continued on. Feels like ancient technology.
I use it principally for downloads storage.

$419 from Bike Closet. Cost $50 to ship. Stupid thing is, I could have picked one up in person, that day I drove The Older Boy to Dixon, since Bike Closet is in Vacaville.

I woke up this morning to blue skies with some clouds wafting through. Half an hour later, the blue is gone and it's raining. Good thing I already planned to ride ITG today.

Yesterday’s 10 day forecast said no rain at all. Six hours later we were in a deluge

There was a live band on the next block last night. I couldn't hear the music but the bass was giving us headaches. I was thinking about sleeping with that thumping but then a deluge came and no more live band.

Only one ride scheduled between the 2 clubs and it was cancelled because wet. I'll just ride around here solo.
