Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Crazy how long it takes eagles to fly! Those birds look like adolescents to me. Disclaimer: I know almost nothing about birds.

The animal kingdom, how does it work. Humans are essentially helpless and would die by themselves until toddler age or later. Sea turtles are born and swim across the freaking ocean. Eagles, maybe somewhere in between.

Evolutionary "strategy" - for a stable or growing population, you can have a large number of progeny, very few of whom survive to reproductive age, or you can have a very few progeny, many of whom survive to reproductive age. I'm kinda glad we went the second way - even though, arguably, my parents had a large number of progeny, but we all made it to reproductive age and beyond.

Not an expert (why let that stop me?), but I'd say unless you can negotiate an easement with the neighbour, you might have to spend a fair amount arguing for court-ordered access, which is probably being reflected in the price.
Yeah I made the post then tried to add a screenshot of the listing and post went poof. I hate it when that happens!

Apparently none of the neighbors are receptive to an easement so would have to get a court to order one. That does not sound like a recipe for neighborly harmony. Pass.

That was during the Pescadero race, and I did see a few gray-haired Masters on the road.

I don't think I have the personality for racing. I feel bad for the other guys when I win. Group rides are more my style.

Nobody likes easements except for the property owner that needs one.

It's actually incredible how little time it takes them to become almost full sized. These birds hatched in April and reached this size in a mere 2 months. If I hadn't been there at least twice a week to witness it myself . . . . I wouldn't have believed it. Many wild creatures have to grow that fast to survive. I've mentioned before that a nearby Red-tail hawk would periodically attempt to fly by the nest, looking for an opportunity, knowing there were helpless eaglets there, deterred only by the presence of papa eagle.

Bummer. Any horn heard is Hannah, plus lots of harmonies on vocals and lead vocal on last track, second verse. It’s pretty amateur but for a side gig, not bad.

It's not exactly a timeless classic, but it makes one nostalgic for a time when music had character ('80s-early aughts).

I like this track on the album better. Could it be a remake of the Dramatics hit?
