Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

String only for me.

I agree. Can't get coal rolled by a CyberTruck.

Hannah’s band just played a 30 minute set “battle of the bands” it was outside and sweltering but they sounded ok. It was too loud so I had to wear foam earplugs. She played keyboards and French Horn, then for the last song switched over to bass. Luckily she can play almost anything.

hell I'd be happy if this lasted 5 years. i guess i worry about that if/when it happens.

Get a group together to go out for coffee after the gig, and invite her to come along. Easy peasy.

You need watchmakers tweezers. The points are very fine, and very sharp. Dumont 5's would probably do the trick. I'm not saying that it wouldn't hurt a little if the thing's really under there, but they're the best for that kind of work.

I did more miles than I planned on doing today, watched a couple cars fly up Pikes Peak. Now standing here waiting on the band to get back on stage, hoping we all get rained on soon. The stage ain't covered though so those guys are probably gonna regret being their good instruments out today if the rain does show.

(1) No, not a blonde "thang." (I don't discriminate based on hair colour.)

(2) No, not a clarinet player (though one that sits in front of me is kind of cute, but probably too young).

(3) No, getting a group together (for me) would not be easier than just asking her out.

Parks and Recreation Department funds the band.

Not pictured: band, stage, or rain.

Do they pay the school district for use of the venue? Sounds misleading.

The light rain scared off a couple tables so I was finally able to grab one, and a nice Kölsch.

A tarp is being hung above the stage now.
