Man!!! This 'rotational mass' business drives me knuts....it's BOLLOCKS!!!!

Yeah.....desk jockeys who ride 100km a week worried about FSA K-Force versus Record Carbon cranks and which will be stiffer, lighter, faster.....for gawd's sake.

was_bmxer 03-08-06 11:02 PM

as long as your holding the bars, that's what really matters.

It seems like the more ******** the topic the longer it goes on for?

Need to remember there is 300 odd million of them over there, bound to be a few loose screws.

i personly liked the one with ppl poking fun at the ellsworth truth, when most ppl here should be so lucky to own a bike like that

Bendigo Madison this weekend

I'll be spending the weekend drunk watching bike races and making a general nuisance of myself in various public houses. Life's great. Can't wait. :D :p

Any of you boys seen the 2005 NFL Cheerleaders "best of" email doing the rounds?? It's a bit like the Brownlow Girls one that seems to surface each year...

Gold! :D

Cool send it to info@thylacinecycles.com! :)

Who's bagging out on the Ellsworths? Sure, they used to impode on a regular basis (disc tabs sheering the seatstays off, Seat tubes popping like it's New Years....take your pick) but apparently they've got them sorted now. Best of all, they've moved production inhouse which is a brave move when every other sh¡t company is running off to China.

I feel drained.

berny 03-09-06 03:20 PM

Bugga! Just re-measured the now stripped Bennett frame and it's actually 55x55 not 55x54 as I earlier thought. :( 54 top tube I can deal with but 55 might be a tad too long. I think I now prefer smaller bikes with taller seat posts and longer stems. They generally have better (for me) seat tube angles.

I just started a flame war in the 'Austin Texas, centre of the cycling universe' thread.

Fellas, I may need some backup :roflmao:

climbo 03-09-06 03:59 PM

"After hitting a pothole, O'Grady fell hard, breaking his collarbone and five ribs. "

Boonen, 10 wins this year already !!!

Thylacine 03-09-06 04:10 PM

Some bunnyhopping practice looks like it might be the order of the day. Ouch.

was another of those look at this bike on ebay situations. was a nice enough bike, a bit old though. i know a guy that had one and he had to get ride of it as he kept breaking somtihng in the rear triangle, and speares were expensive and hard to come buy. i think he has a titus of some sort now.

Backup? You need a bomb shelter after that little beauty - I read it to hubby and we both nearly fell off the couch laughing. Interesting to see if they take the bait.

Thylacine 03-09-06 04:17 PM

Yeah, the Ellsworths attention to detail have always been amazing, they've just (in the past I'm guessing) been underbuilt in places. If I had to buy an FS bike tomorrow, it would be a tough choice between a Turner and a Maverick. Titus' seem well made though.

jock 03-09-06 05:03 PM

They're not biting Thylo.

What's happened? Have they become.... no, it couldn't be ... laid back!!!???

badsac 03-09-06 05:10 PM

I think they're just all drugged into a stupor over there.

jock 03-09-06 05:12 PM

Well they've got a hide. Apathy can be a dangerous thing in the hands of amateurs, and is best left to the experts. :D

HDTVKSS 03-09-06 07:29 PM

It seems that Aussie apathy is so strong that most wish it would be made a sport. id go watch if i could be bothered....

classic1 03-09-06 08:25 PM

Q: What is the difference between ignorance and apathy?
A: I don't know and I don't care.

Brian 03-09-06 08:30 PM

Excuse me. No one bothered to PM or email that link. You guys suck. 6-8 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. Todays low, -2. The high? 1. :D

matagi 03-09-06 08:32 PM

Well, that was a bit of a damp firecracker, wasn't it?

Maybe you should start another steel vs ally vs carbon thread, that should bring a few flamethrowers out of the woods.

Or go to "Training and Nutrition" and start bagging low-carb diet junkies and vegans.

jock 03-09-06 08:39 PM

Enjoying life on the dark side, Expat?

Brian 03-09-06 08:43 PM

Well, I wasn't the one that sold our Carrera GT yesterday. Don't even want to know what you get for selling a $400k+ car. :(
