http://www.theage.com.au/news/cricke...940438785.html http://media.theage.com.au/?rid=1899...ate=23&flash=1 From News of The World Last night MTV presenter Coralie, 25—who was spotted canoodling with Robbie Williams at a London hotel just over a week ago—told us: "Shane blew our minds. He was so fit. I'd give him top marks for more than satisfying us. "He was talking dirty all the time. It was full on, hardcore and we had a great time. In the trouser department he was above average." Emma, also 25, added: "Shane's a stallion and very willing to experiment. He loved playing around with the inflatable and was up for anything." Sex-mad Shane—who is facing a £4 million divorce battle with Simone—set up the steamy three-in-a-bed session by bowling a series of saucy texts at Coralie. :roflmao: |

Brad C pulled out of mmas3 just after halfway after cramping up on lap 4. tough race, hell wind. The journey for us was 38k on a/the* 12k+ figure 8 circuit up Peat's Ridge Rd and back along Wiseman's Ferry Rd. *(I'm not sure if this is the normal CCCC RR track but it's quite hilly.) The wind was NW which was on the nose (literally) up PR Rd. First time up I was comfortable, handling a couple of early surges without much trouble. When we turned off onto WF Rd. I was near the rear and they slowed to a ridiculous speed for the corner at the bottom of the dip which meant I lost my momentum and had no run on for the big hill just around the corner. There was a surge and I was gorne. I recovered to trail them back to the start by about 2/300m but I couldn't bridge before the second effort up PR Rd. into the wind which was basically the end of my story. I pulled the pin 1/3rd into the last lap fotally tucked. I think the TT on Thursdy took a lot out of me and rightly or wrongly I did a steady 44k on Satdy morning with the guys after a deep tissue massage Fridy nite. Anyway, I was never really in it with a chance and I was reasonably happy with my effort considering the competition. CNSW did a great job with help from many areas including CCCC. The marshals/officials were all great, giving lots of help, support and encouragement and it was a privileged for me just to be there. Keith Oliver won our div. going away in the sprint but a couple of our blokes, Tony Whiteside and Phil Owen were there at the end to keep him honest. This could possibly be the end of my racing career  |

The course was... lets say "testing" for want of a better word matagi.
It seemed to me that you were almost always going uphill to some extent. Now they're only steady little rises as you rightly point out, but when you're chasing the climbers (who are doing it easy) all day life get's a little less comfortable. well done berny. bad luck on fading at the end, but you'll be back next year for another go. hope it's not in perth or darwin. or wagga |
Dunno aout those maps saccy? The trail head is on red-hill road/yarramalong road.
T, if you get off at Ourimbah station it will be about 4ks on road to the palmdale end, then ~15km on firetrails to the XC course. |

Heatwave! I'm not even wearing socks this morning. Isn't that fascinating!
Oh! Petacchi is out of the Giro! Had a crash apparently 50kms from the finish. You know, it really sh¡ts me we don't get any coverage of the Giro. There better be highlights this Sunday or I might just have to slip into 'angry letter writing' mode. |

We have no Giro coverage here in sheep shagger land either :( The best I can manage is a minute or two summary on the Eurosport news package each morning. The NZ satellite TV sports channels show all the TdF stages live, and have shown highlights of the classics this year, but no Giro or Vuelta. This months TV guide has no highlights at all for the Giro that I can find.
I tried writing angry letters, but the media just don't give a **** about anything but rugby, cricket, league and netball unless it involves drugs, medals, or drunken falling about. Over 10,000 riders do round Taupo each year and do the newspapers send anyone to take pics or write a column about it? Nothing. There have been a couple of TV highlights packages done on occasion, but they focus on the elite riders and not the Joe Average riders pouring their sweat out onto the road as the culmination of their year's training. |
I'm sure Jock will provide more detail but SBS has 2 hours on Romandie and Flech this Sunday.
Assume Giro will be shown in 2 weeks. |
Jock, Climbo, has the message board been removed from the CCCC website? I want to ask if there is any interest in moving the track training sessions from 800 mon & Fri to 0700.
Who can ride from 0800 for and hour and a half on a school day? just a daft time IMO FWIW, probably the same people who ride tu/thu from 1520 :( |
(Car brand) World Sport on SBS each nite will usually have a quick clip of the previous days Giro. Apart from that just have to hope for a highlights package in a few weeks I suppose.
And how short must this bloke be??? :D http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/20...?id=giro063/66 |

I've found some coverage of the Giro, but the files are over a gig in size! Maybe signing up for 512/128 broadband wasn't such a great idea afterall.
|
Those gigs are there to be used. They don't roll over to next month.
|
World Sport on SBS is supposed to be showing highlights of the Giro tonight (as opposed to the two second grab they have been giving us for the past few days)
|
how windy was it on sat for the central coast CC club race? the total race times seem to be comming down every week!
