To answer the first question, I decided to get married then disappear to NZ for two weeks to go 'Tramping'. Little did I know it didn't involve any Tramps, but instead involved walking 55kms over a mountain.

Oh yeah, and the '06 Thylacine website is sort of up and sort of running. :)

Yep I fully understand. Got a good tow into the prime sprint last nite only to leave my jump a half bike length too late, then picked the wrong wheel in the finish sprint :( ... but managed a third. :D

Tanx Jock. I been werkin hard lately. The new M7 c/w is proving to be a very good asset. It's exceptionally convenient for me being just 5mins down the road and allows me train more frequently. The northern ride has some challenging (for me) hills and has a nice latte' stop at the turnaround :D
I rode it Oz day, Satdy with a young 38yo, raced the boat Satdyarvo, rode the Vets 2hr enduro Sundy for a 7th and did Penrith yesterday and I really do feel great today, good enough to even do Marcony 2nite.:eek: ..............well maybe not.
Must be doing something right though.

Well on the face of it it has to be one of the wierdest and flattest road courses I've ever seen.

But aside from it looks like it could be a whole lotta fun. It's like a hybrid road/crit course with plenty of technical aspects and two hotdog sections. Plenty of places for people to try to 'run and hide', and two nice long sections for riders to guage how far away the break is.

Definitely a course for the strong men. Nothing in it for the hill freaks. Sprinters will be licking their lips because all they have to do is hold on and get their team mates to close down any little breaks.

Time trial's on beach road. Wonder if that'll interfere with Hell Ride :)

that's shorter and tighter than some shopping mall criteriums!! I reckon the Sandown cousre is longer that.!!

I bet that it won't be a bunch sprint. Course is too technical. 175km of jumping out of corners!

There are places on the course where you can see the race 3 times per lap!!! I'm going to go down for a look.

Ed said a while back he wouldn't go across the road to see the Commonwealth Games :) You have to at least go for a look.

Nah, the Hell Ride starts where the TT turnaround is & heads further south away from the city.

Definitely. I can't believe that they found an 11km circuit in such a small area.

It's hard to believe they had much input from road cyclists. Triathletes maybe, road riders uh uh :rolleyes:

I suppose if you get dropped, you could ride over to the MCG and watch the crikit :)

on such a tight course, some of the local neo pros who did the Bay Crits would probably have a better show than half the internationals :)
