Vuelta coverage

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Vuelta coverage

Sorry if this has been asked before.
What foreign TV station should I look to for Vuelta de Espana coverage? Thanks.

Well, actually, there is a television station in the USA that covers the Vuelta. It's one of those spanish speaking stations, but you have to have Telemundo in the expanded cable package in order to view it. They added that station in Chicago, but the month after the Vuelta ended last year.

Otherwise, you'll have to go to Europe and get their Eurosport.

DirecTV carries TVE, which broadcasts the Vuelta. It's $10 for the month.

SWEET!! Telemundo is carrying the Vuelta? I have that channel on my Dish service and NEVER watch it but now.....

I wonder if my wife will be willing to sit there and translate to me. hmm sort of doubt it.

Check- they did last year. I haven't checked this year, but when I called them and talked to them last year, they seemed keen on continuing their coverage of the Vuelta.

Thanks, all. I will have to email or call Telemundo since they don't have anything posted on their website.

Check around. I just called Telemundo in Chicago. They confirmed the schedule and then argued with Comcast to get my upgraded digital package off the ground.

Not this year, sadly. No daily coverage, at least.

Possible solution: Video on Telemundo with audio from Eurosport. They'll probably be out of synch though, even if they are both live.

Has anyone seen the schedule for the Vuelta on Telemundo? We get the channel, but can not find any time blocks that seem like they would be the race, nor can I find anything in the Programming guide with the word Vuelta...
Thanks!!!

Is anyone going to stream Vuelta coverage on the net? OLN had streaming Giro coverage for $5.95, and there one or two Italian media sites that also streamed it.

According to Cycle Disciples (https://www.cycledisciple.com/index.htm) TVE's website (https://www.rtve.es/) will be offering streaming video of the Vuelta:

"...You can view the race live on a spanish television network's website. TVE's coverage is great but in Spanish. When you get to the home page click on "TVE en Directo," pick your viewer (Real or Windows Media Player) and you'll be off to the race"

Here's Telemundo's program listing for the 27th, the day the Vuelta starts. I see a couple of football games, but no Vuelta. Am I missing something?
