Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A new roadie yuuup ;0) + pics

Hello !!

Well well I read the forum since I bought my first road bike, 3-4 weeks ago and now I wanted to introduce myself ;0). I'm a 17 y o rider, ride about 200km/week and decided to make myself a great gift after working hard this summer and bought my first road bike ! A Devinci Chicane 2005. Maybe only a few of us know this brand as they are mainly seen in Canada, and built in my hometown ;0) Their website if u wanna check !

So my new ride, a pure entry level road bike, paid 1000$ CAN. But what a radical change from my old Walmart MTB With Shimano components, Tiagra rear deraileur, Sora front derailleur, weighted at 21.2lbs .. well an entry level bike ;0) But i'm in looove !

I would get those miles in soon as your neck of the woods will get cold as a$$ shortly. Nice pose by the way.

Nice looking bike.

I went to the Devinci website. They said they named it after Leonardo. It's funny that they spelled it wrong.

Nice bike. I bet within a year, you'll be wondering what your next bike will be!

I thought your name had to do with the group, not the bike... but it's still all good!

Ride on!

daytonian: haha well i'm used to the cold anyway, I still have 1-2 months of riding before I really have to wear some winter clothes for biking !

Voltman: Lol I don't really think it's an error or a mispell, they're probably just trying to do something original or whatever !

propagan: yup computer accurate

And I'll buy my trainer in 1 month anyway, so when it'll be freezing cold I'll be okay ;0)
The first snow comes by the end of November, beginning of December out there in Quebec, Canada.

and thx for the comments !

PS zing .. your daugther ! how old ?
