Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seatpost Seatpost My Day Well Spent

Okay guys hopefully you can help me here. I need a 28.6mm zero set back seatpost. I have searched the internet for hours. My eyes are crossed. I can only find the Thomson Elite, but would like to stay with Carbon Fiber. I found seatpost shims 27.2mm to 28.6mm. Any input on the shims? Any other brand of post? I am a weight weenie with this bike.

Thanks in advance,
Richard

28.6 seems like an odd size. What frame is it?

28.6 is a MTB size isn't it? I tried to have a look but all I could find was mostly MTB posts in that size. Some resonably light ones though

I think some newer frames are starting to use oversized MTB type parts now.
I guess 28.6 isn't so odd anymore.

It is a Cervelo Team 2.5 Frame. I should have known that seatpost business would haunt me.

Thanks guys,
Richard
