hello.
Currently my membership ends today and I need to make a purchase or I'm pretty sure I lose 10 bucks in points. So I'm thinking to myself WHAT AM I GOING TO BUY! I was throwing out the idea of bar tape (Celeste) but I honestly don't need it right now. Then I said mirror, I want one but I want to buy it at my lbs because I want to be able to try it out and they will allow me to do that. So whats your suggestions? I am possible willing to add in money if I really like the ideas. BTW they are at Performancebike.com. Another possible option is a polar bike mount...
Thank you guys!

I'm surprised you don't already have a blow-kit and even more surprised that bad luck hasn't befallen you with a blown tube yet. Get them, sit down and give'er.

I went all summer (2100km) without a flat until last week. I was only a few klicks from home, but I was still grateful to have it with me. You'll save yourself or somebody else with a flat kit one of these days.

Rim tape and lots of it. Get it before there's a run on it! Tomorrow may be too late! Prices on rim tape will go up as gas prices rise!

lol brave shave, sorry thats not till april at least.
But I dont know me and my dad have been thinking about the member ship. Its up in the air. But I am starting to think about the tubes and the levers, and then if I feel like it add on maybe a speed wedge. BTW What do you guys think of the performance speed wedge (or whatever the smallest wedge bag is.)
Thanks

So NOW you're thinking of getting a tube and levers. lol.
Here's a few suggestions.
Gloves - My hands hurt today after my longest ride yet, gloves are good.
Wedge pack - Don't get the smallest, get a big one like me. I got a cannondale 150 cubic inches from wheelworks today for cell phone, spare tube, keys, etc., the more stuff in it, the merrier!
Spare tube - of course
Cyclocomputer - don't know if you got one, i just got an Astrale!

Gloves are good because you don't want road rash on your hands. That'll make almost any activity a pain.
Get a wedge bag that will carry what you need. I don't know why people obsess over bike weight only to put on a wedge bag that will hold everything but the kitchen sink. I travel with a basic blow-out kit and some allen keys and carry my keys, cell, and loose cash in my jersey pockets.
Basic patch kit consisting of at least one spare tube, patches, tire levers, Co2 or a frame pump in said small wedge. I carry all of the above and a Park CT-5 chain tool and a few spare links + a Connex link in a Topeak Micro Aero Wedge.

I thought I simply quote the team number on next purchase?].
