Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just got a Disco Jersey and MAN is it nice.

Ok so I have never been one to buy team kit from any team but it is my birthday on Tuesday and in the mail today I got a Team Disco jersey from my mother. I knew I was getting it because I had talked to her husband and discussed size. Well they got me a XXL and the thing fits perfectly.

So here is my question: What other jerseys fit like/are sized like the Disco Jerseys?

I ask because this is the first jersey I REALLY like the fit of. I have L and XL jerseys from Performance, Canari, Hind, Pearl Izumi and Cannondale and they are either just a bit too tight (the Lg ones) or a bit too loose and WAY too long (XL from Performance is like 5" longer than I would like). This XXL Disco jersey fits perfectly for length and width. Plus the zipper is of higher quality (though I wish it was full length) than every other jersey I have. The PI XL jersey I have is closest but agin a tad too long and a bit too big in the chest as well.

I guess what I am saying here is I wish I could find plain jerseys that fit JUST like this Disco jersey.
Any thoughts?

Yeah, watch out for the haters, for they will for some inane reason, feel compelled to drop you or make you suffer for your crimes while riding with it on

Seriously, Nice Jersey, Congrats. I don't know how it fits, but you could try MTB jerseys with a more relaxed fit.

I have a few MEC ones, however they are in Canada MEC.CA

Who sells Nike jerseys? Trek Bikes, my man! I found this when I was contemplating Nike shoes...I ended up buying a pair of DMT's to go with the new (to me) X-2's I got from 58. But here's the link for all your jersey pleasure:

yeah, sounds like a cool jersey--but you'll look like a total newb/fanboy wearing it.

nike just came out with their tete de course shortsleeve, in orange, yellow, or black. previously they only had black longsleeves. very cool, classy looking wool jersey. I'm not familiar with wool, but people swear by it.

the link that timwat posted above has 5 pages of nike jerseys.

The higher end sports stores around here (Sport Chalet) have the Nike/Lance 10/2 line.

I want to get one for just that reason: see just how many sharpshooters there REALLY are out there. Or is every insecure little twit on this board just talking smack about dropping someone. Methinks it's the latter.

Nice jersey by the way. It's hard to find stuff that fits just right and then find more of it! Two of my four jerseys fit me good.

Talking smack indeed, most likely we all secretly wished we could pull on a full racer kit and have the bystanders ooh and awe as we ride by

For the amount of money they charge... it better fit well.

Like the other poster said, you're putting a bulls eye on your back. But then again, maybe it'll get you riding even harder, which would turn a negative into a positive.

It is awesome how the cycling world, or the bf world, is self conscious about wearing these race kits and jerseys. Meanwhile, the rest of the fashion world is dominated by sports apparel like team jerseys, throwback, all that. You see total bums hooping it up in their MJ 23 jersey and they can't dunk a donut or maybe even make a layup, but they think they look cool. baseball jerseys, football, hockey, all that.
The jersey has beautiful colors, seems even a little bit patriotic to me with the recent tours, it's a functional piece of apparel! Wear it with pride. F anyone who don't like it.

Is it a real Discovery jersey or the ones they sell @ the Discovery store in the mall? I noticed the mall ones aren't made of the same dimpled fabric in certain spots (I think they showed the technolgy in a Chasing Lance show).

Well like I said I never would have bought the thing for myself but I think it is a positive just because it fits so well. It actually looks nice too...but I don't want anyoen thinking I think I am LA or even Rodger Hamond.

I looked at the other Nike jerseys on their site and they don't look like they are cut the same. Maybe one does. They other thing is I am cheap so I don't pay retail for jerseys...so if Nike.com or Trek.com are the only places to get them, I guess I wont be getting any.

Just realised my Cannondale Cadence jersey size XL fits just about as well and since Performance and my LBS sell Cannondale Jerseys I guess I can focus on them.

It was purchased at a Trek dealer in Austin. That is about all I know.
