T-bar saddle?
Am new to road biking, and wanted to know if there were any saddles without a front section or just split designs? I just started road cycling for distance and using a standard saddle right now, but its um ... taking its toll on soft tissue. My guess is that the front section of the saddle is there to assist in banking turns ... but would like to know if any saddles exist like this.

get the selle smp pro strike. that is what im going to buy next summer. large gap for...well you know. and the front slants down so your...well you know isnt getting crushed. its 200 bucks but it is REAL good for your prostate and they say it is channels blood to your legs better than a standard seat by the sides slanting down.

I saw one of these saddles in use earlier this year and the owner was very enthusiastic about it. It might be worth looking into.
From their website:
The UN~Saddle® prevents muscular and vascular compression in the perineum and the genitalia eliminating the risk of loss of circulation in the pelvic areas and the danger of both temporary and permanent impotence.
It improves agility and quick reacting in technical riding.
The UN~Saddle® offers an ideal supportive surface, an efficient fulcrum for the legs and the body to "lean against" rather than to "hang from".
It also prevents chafing of the inner thighs.
