Found a bike

I was riding my my old black Univega around the neighborhood and found an old black Univega appearing totally abandoned in front of my apartment complex. Talk about strange! Anyway, it's really small, 50cm. MY friend has been looking into getting into road bikes. I thought I'd give it to him (it needs a lot of work), anyway he is 6'! Would it be too ridiculous (and painful) for someone that big to ride a tiny bike? I thought maybe he could change things around...maybe? Any suggestions?

I'm barely 5'8" and that thing would be tiny for me!

on the other hand, it would fit me perfect... (wink, wink!)

How about if he just used it for a commuter?

He'd look like grape ape riding on top of "Beagly Beagly's" car.

My son has a 54, I'm 6' and I hate getting on that thing, not a good way to introduce someone to cycling unless you don't like them. ;)

haha, I would imagine! Yeah, I decided it was a bad idea. I guess I'll just sell the thing. Anyone interested in a beat up Univega?

If it was in front of an apartment complex, how sure are you that it was abandoned?

Exactly what i was thinking. Reminds me of when my 7 year old pulls out money to buy something at the store and i ask "where did you get that?" and she replies, "I found it...on your night stand".

It doesn't have brakes, the brake levers are broken, back tire is completely torn out and it was in an area where people usually just toss junk. But hey maybe someone was gonna ride it home and I just stole their ride.

Did you find that bike, or did you loot it?

You can get a long seat post(one of those for mountain bike) and it's going to look like this. It's usable and looks very fast, but very uncomfortable.

Well, I'm not black so the media will just say I needed it for my family.
