For the OCPs that live old enough to need a wheel chair!!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hey, it's OCP, you don't "have" to click in. I just want it to say "LOOK Keo" on the side.

I've always said if i lose use of my legs, I'll have the coolest wheelchair ever.

There's a guy here with Rock Shox suspension on his (lime-green) wheelchair. What a pimp!

My dad works for Quickie. They make some really cool wheelchairs. In fact, their whole company was formed out of the need for a lightweight, athletic style wheelchair.

The woman who formed Quickie was involved in a hang-glider accident and paralyzed from the waist down. The only wheelchairs available at the time were hulking, heavy, unmaneuverable steel beasts and they pretty much required a person to be pushed around most of the time.

So she and her hang-gliding pals got together and designed/built a chair using hang-glider tubing since it was lightweight. Then they added a camber to the wheels. What resulted was the quick and agile wheelchair you see around today, with the Quickie label on it.

I have had the opportunity to ride a few of their wheelchairs and while I don't need one, its good to know that someone has taken the time to make wheelchairs that much more friendly to their users.
