Do you wear champion/winner jerseys?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do you wear champion/winner jerseys?

A lot has been made lately of the guy in the full Disco kit, wearing yellow, etc.

I surely would not. WAAAAAAY too superstitious. I'm not the world champion of anything. Never won a stage, let alone a point competition. I'm not the national champion of germany. Those are for people that have won it. IMO, their trophies.

I don't zero in on someone's wheel if I see them in it. Its just not for me.

Just wondering if you or would you wear them?

NOthing wrong in wearing pro gear, WCP, ProTour, TDF winner jerseys. As long as you don't believe you actually won them! (no one else does )

If someone gave me a Discovery jersey, I'd wear it - but maybe not the TdF yellow jersey. I live in an area where we have to find overpasses to climb hills so the polka dot jersey, albeit cool looking, would be somewhat hilarious. However, the sprinter's jersey, I'd wear.

that would be funny. I want a Euskatel jersey. I'm a 5'9" 230 pound pale Basque climber

I have a Winner's jersey from a college race. I wore it for about 10 minutes for pictures and never put it on again. I just felt like too much to wear for just riding around.

I've got Norwegian and Italian national champion jerseys from '04 (Hushovd and Moreni respectively). I'm part Norwegian and Italian, and that's my excuse. The Norwegian jersey is especially sharp.

I "don't" just from a standpoint of what replica stuff costs. All my tops and shorts are plain just simply because you can buy three for about the price of one replica kit.
The same goes for playing soccer in replica shirts. I don't play in them because I don't want to pay $70 for something and then get a grass stain in it the first time.
If I actually won a jersey, I would be less inclined to wear it than a replica because it would have actual meaning to me, and I really wouldn't want to mess it up.
"Would" I wear a replica kit? Probably if someone gave it to me.
I'd like a full size replica World Cup trophy in my card room. That would pretty cool.
