I dropped some poser wearing a yellow jersey!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I dropped some poser wearing a yellow jersey!

He was on a Trek, and after I dropped him, I waited for him behind a tree, and when he came by I threw a stick in his spokes, and then I kicked him in the face, and then I bent his bike in half (with my bare hands), and after that I made fun of him for wearing his yellow jersey, that poser! Who does he think he is. The audacity! To think that someone would wear a yellow jersey without winning it!

Maybe a family member bought it for him as a present thinking he would like it, not knowing that wearing the yellow jersey is frowned upon by the cycling community. Family/ friend noobs

Would it be OK if I bought a plain yellow Pearl Izumi jersey? I wanted blue to match my bike but the guy at the LBS recommended yellow so cars would see me better. Is it just the color yellow that brings out the vitriolic attacks (like waving a red cape at a bull) or does it have to be a yellow jersey that looks like the TdF one?

For the record, I only got to keep my jersey one day. I crashed the next day and the paramedics cut it off me. When I buy a replacement, should I avoid yellow at all costs? And, do you think my crash just due to yellow jersey bad karma?

Since when can you not wear a jersey that's yellow? Wow. So you can't even wear a rain jacket that's also yellow?

Sounds like you missed the point of this thread.

That was me, sorry. I won't ever wear the yellow jersey again, I promise.

I don't think R600DuraAce did any Kung Fu kicking the in the face or bending in half of bikes! I am a bike bending machine, and we'll see who the loser is when my bike works perfectly and yours is folded over because of my immense strength.

Read this, done that, this is getting old. Let's try the "beat yo moma on my tricycle" thread for awhile and leave the poussers alone for a day.

It just isn't as much fun without an object of ridicule who comes back asking for more.
