Forgot how much of a difference new cables make.
I've been a total bum with respect to replacing the cables and housing on my roadie. I've had the bike for two years this month and replaced one brake cable in that time. But I finally got off of my lazy butt and replaced them along with the chain and cassette (which have been replaced a bit more often, but still). It's like a new bike again.
