Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Too late in the season to pose?

I'm thinking about getting this..
But in Canada - my season's got about two months left..
It's the only kit worth getting - as I've already got the Atmos in that color

What do you think?

Thanks guys,
-Peter

Normally I am anti-OCP but that kit looks pretty nice. Love the colors.

I bought lots of Agu Sport gear when I was racing in Holland (not Rabo team issue, though )

Top shelf kit. Great quality.

It's okay for a race, I suppose. But there is this guy who frequently goes full dress kit up and down Huntington Drive at rush hour. You can't get more rush hour traffic on a road than this one. Many of the drivers trying to get home couldn't be more frustrated and angry. But adding to all of this is some guy in a pink or lilac lycra every day with a really pointy helmet making the traffic mess worse on Huntington, even though there are alternative, much less heavily travelled roads nearby. Sometimes, I wish dressy roadies would stop antagonizing the already aggravated rush hour drivers. I know that is not what you are going to do, but sometimes I wish for a little less flash among fellow roadies in everyday clothing. I know the value of color in safety, but a plain yellow jersey would do that trick.

You can't race in that unless your last name is, Boogerd, Freire, Veneberg, Menchov, Dekker, Hayman etc etc.

In American you can. There are the "400 watt" and "peddaling in anger" guys racing with anyone all the time. Of course, with these American "drop specialists" you don't know you are in a race.

All the reason to pose as much as you can before the snow falls.
I say Pose Hard, Pose like you mean it, Pose like you're on the team.

T.J.

Edit: I wouldn't do a real Cat. race in it though.... kinda tacky in that situation IMO.

However, if you were to use it to bait in those cyclist that target folks in team jerseys/kit, go for it. I've ordered my first team jersey just for that purpose. My Domina jersey should arrive by the end of the week!

That's the old Domina shirt. You need 2005 to be OCP!

It doesn't really matter to me if I'm OCP or not. As testimony to that, this is my first team jersey. I didn't even get the matching shorts, glove, cap and shoe covers.

I didn't like the look of the new Domina jersey because they look like a Hawain shirt.
This one matches my bike so +1 posing points for that!

Tsk tsk. Any poser worth his hubs knows that the correct posing arena for this time of year are the cyclocross and mountain bike courses. You're not even in the right forum.

Now be a good poser and go buy a $3000 mountain bike. You might also consider a large SUV like a Durango or XTerra as one of your mountain bike posing accessories.

I love rabo colours... Go for it man.. I have only posed on my CSC jersey once this year... :frown: ..I belived that if you wear a jersey of some team you are not part of, the race org will force you to wear it backwards(if they notice)...
