Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Weird Jersey Thread

Ok I know we've had a bunch of 'Find me a cool USSR jersey' threads before.
Just thought I'd post an old jersey FYI. Never seen anyone else with one on.

No offense but...... *hurl*

Sorry Dude, that just looks nasty. Is that supposed to be Mario, or something? The artistic rendition doesn't even look close. Well, except for the teeth maybe. Ah well, to each their own.

Hey man, I'm just saying, it's definitely not my taste. Wear what y'all want. And I would agree, it definitely fits in the "weird jersey" thread. But then, we all remember what Mario used to wear. He was crazy.

This will be my next jersey provided they are still stocking it come christmas time.

As anyone who knows me personally will tell you I have a bizarre obsession with monkeys, they are the coolest animals ever, therefor even though a touch on the ugly side this jersey is perfect for me.

I recently took a plain blue Performance jersey and added the Swedish Tre Kronor to the front like the Swedish hockey jersey. Swedish cycling jerseys are impossible to find.

Red Army Vodka
Love my Anaerobia jersey.

There's a reason for that Seriously, now that I've been riding for a little while, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with it, I'm goign to go ahead and get a 'real jersey' (something with a design), instead of just having my plain yellow Performance bargain jersey. I'm definitely going to scour the web and look for the wierdes/ugliest jersey I can find. thank you for this thread

I think I had mentioned this in a thread a while ago, but I would definitely like a Charlie Brown cycling jersey . . . Kind of like the attached image, but you know . . . in jersey form.

A female acquaintance of mine has a jersey that says on the front:
"Jack and Jill went up the hill"

along with a picture of two cyclists starting together up some climb.

And on the back it says:
"And she kicked his a$$ !"

along with a picture of Jill cresting the top looonnnggg before Jack.

And yes, the person I know who owns it can climb at approximately the same rate as an F-16.

What's your point?

Actually, don't have it yet. But I do have the socks!

There's a kids version too. My 5 yr old is ready to lose the training wheels, so we'll get a matched set. Then we'll be riding proud, dialing it up to 500w and dropping super intense yet surprisingly mediocre dudes left and right.

Aren't you a nuker of some sort?

I should get it for my brother who works at nuclear plants - he could wear it to work HA!

I have this one:

I really like it; wife not so impressed, but she wasn't a 14 yr old boy in the 70s either. I'd start "Dark Side Velo Club" just so we could race in them. Also have to say, the primalwear jerseys are very comfortable.
