I think I saw those in the Tour de France this year. The flat section on top allows you to rest your forearms and maintain a decent aero position.

I've ridden with fsa-k wings and didn't think they were all that great. All a matter of personal preference, I prefer round bars because they fit into my hand better.

These are not aero bars. They are flat top ergo bars with the stem integrated - making the bars and stem one unit. If you rest your forearms on your regular road bars now, then you'll be able to do the same with these. They may be a bit more comfortable with the flat top.
If you are an egotistically driven individual who likes to have other cyclists gawk over your gear - and you have the money - then yes, they are worth it. I got mine for almost nothing and I would buy them again at that price.

It would be a major expense if you decided you needed a longer or shorter stem.

Expensive, but definitely cool. I like the idea of resting your forearms on the tops.

Nah, brin, they're designed that way so that they're more comfortable for your hands when you're in the tops. Like I said before though, I didn't like how they felt. YMMV

Look at what I just scored on Ebay...
Funny too 'cuz I thought for sure somebody was going to mention that this thing was up for bids - then I'd be screwed!... I ended up grabbing the bars for $177.00... It comes with a carbon computer mount... Only problem that was mentioned is that the stem collar has some rust on it - Funny 'cuz I just got some Zipp 404 Clinchers from an oxidized KM40 I bought for $750!... I think the theme of my new bike is quickly becomming "Cool Rusty Parts for Cheap!"...
-Jason-
by the way, the Zipps cleaned up nicely as did the rest of the KM40 except for the crankset - that piece is pretty much junk now... I brought the Zipp's to my LBS and they checked it out and trued 'em up for me and gave me two thumbs up... I'm hoping these will clean up just as nicely...
