New Fuji !!!
Thanks for the suggestions in selecting a new road bike. I have purchased the 61cm Newest by Fuji. This purchase was made at a LBS (local to my job).
I just got home from a 20 mile ride. The bike works great but these legs are sore since I haven't been riding in over 10 years. 3 Days and 3 rides on it of 15mi, 7mi and the 20 miles today.
This is the first bike I have owned that I haven't used toe-clips. Having shoes that clip in and out are great.
I can't wait to get in better shape for longer and harder rides.

Welcome to the world of thin tires! I'm glad to hear you like your bike. I recent purchased a Fuji Robaix and am loving it too.

Shifting is great. The last bike I owned used friction shifters.

Thanks for the response CADD. My job is in the area of medical device sales and the incentives are a way to set goa, in addition to $$$.
Back to bikes. A better question would be are the low end Fuji bikes still of good quality? The only details I can get are-
Bike #1 is called an All-Terrain with a 21 speed twist shifter, Shimano (no model #) derailleur, ATB frame and linear pull brakes.
Bike #2 - Leisure bike with the canti-leisure frame, Shimano Mega-range derailleur and 13/34 freewheel with "bail out" climbing gear.

Have you tried FUJIBIKES.COM? Their website might help you determine the model. It also has a way to locate a dealer in your area. Then you could test ride and see which is more to your liking.
I thought the Fuji road bikes at the low-end were good quality. I picked one that was a little more to get the Tiagra set instead of Sora.
Going to a couple of stores that sold them I was able to talk to some customers that had them and got their feelings on the bikes.

I bought a Fuji touring bike. Good solid frame and the Tiagara, as said like butter. I do have a higher end road bike and find its ride great; but really the shifting compared to my Fuji with Tiagara, not really that much different.
Just weight wise- not as responsive as my road bike.. So far, no regrets not getting a higher end touring bike.. In fact, on long tours- would not question as to taking the Fuji over my Klein- better gearing for climbing. Friends tell me to take the Klein on my pending sag tour. No it is the Fuji. More responsive ride on a sag tour.?
Naw, I will keep up reasonable well with the roadie bikes.. I really enjoy my Fuji for its intended function.
