Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Maybe now when someone posts they are riding in some contries jersey it won't deteorate in to a political discussion.

i don't want fools like you to come anyways BUT...

SIMPLE QUESTION AND I WILL NOT DISCUSS THAT JERSEY PAST THIS QUESTION:

Would you feel the same way if it was a confederate flag, swatzika, or kkk jersey? Yes or No

(Edit: Because that was what it was to me, and even if it wasn't that for you, if it was, wouldn't it be wrong for you to say nothing?)

The Forum will ONLY be dead when a thread like "What's you Favorite Color" is taken seriously.

I'm a fool for not wanting political threads in cycling forum? Ok....
No I don't care. Peopel can wear whatever the hell they feel like. As long as they don't start spewing their 3rd grade political crap like you been doing. I know it's hard for you to understand, but you don't have to answer or read every thread. If you find it offensive then don't read it! There is also an ignore option, USE it.

Well to me it is wrong not to say anything. To me you have to judge everything and speak up when something is wrong. To me it is immoral to do otherwise. When there is something inherently political or philosophical in a thread, it shouldn't be a surprise that it will get political and philosophical responses.

BTW, why do I get the blame for that thread? Weren't there a million liberals arguing back? What they get to say what they want because they are the majority here and by responding I'm rocking the boat?

bah!

Well if I remember correctly you started it with your comment, then it kind of spiraled out of control from there.
Actually I was suprised the thread wasn't locked sooner.

NEGATIVE!

As long as the train keep rolling, the forums keeps a going.
As long as the train isn't in bed, the forums ain't dead.
As long as the train beats internally, the forums last eternally!!!!

I'm bored, yes.

With political discussions it only takes one spark. Actually I think it's the same or even worse with religion too. It's best to avoid these subjects all together on on line forums. Never know what will spark a heated argument on the forums. People are very passionate about such things. Situation is made worse because of lack of visual cues we get when we are talking to someone. So something that was said half jokingly and we wouldn't really take offense at it if we were talking to that person face to face, we might find extremely offensive when we read it on line.

I'm shocked you/others find brownshirting acceptable at all. What is wrong with just bypassing that which you don't agree with instead of trying to burn/ban it? Careful, some of you are getting your integrity caught in your political zipper.

Cycling shorts and team kits? gay or not always seems to incite the people that inhabit this place?

Then we could always ressurect Darth Vader to ensure the trolls get rounded up and "take care of".

He was my favorite anti-troll troll. Whoever invented him was a genius.
