The problem with that is..... cell phones hadn't been invented yet, at least not one you could carry on a bike.

Remind me how long has it been since the frame was put in for painting?

We might be witnessing the development of a new measurement of time....the second, the hour, the day, the week, the year, the light year, the parsec, the epoc, and a millenia we already know. But now....evolving before our very eyes is the "Tete frame."
For instance, "Man, this is the worst resturant service ever, it took almost a tete frame to get our food."

I thought my story was bad. I took a frame into the shop the first week of March for a small touch-up paint job. It is still not ready. I am also patient, but this is trying it severely. Probably wouldn't be so bad if they didn't keep promising "next week", and failing to keep it.

Pfft.
That means you just dropped it off. No one here is impressed.

Just for scale, what other cycling related events have happened in your life since you have sent the Tete for painting?
I think among the significant events would be commissioning (and receiving) a custom built Waterford polished stainless steel bike.
What else?

3 American TdF winners since then? (Not sure if the Tour had finished by the 27th that year)

I got two bona fide laughs out loud - a personal best
Didn't mean to open an old wound, but I truly am interested to see how it turns out some day. It's kind of like reading 5 books in a planned 6-book series . . . and then the author up and dies on ya before he finishes it! For what it's worth, in my mind, it's one damn fine lookin bike made better by the wait.
The Moulton sounds like a cool project - I'll do a search and see if I can find any posts on it!

I can say that the Fuso is coming together rather well and I am very psyched.

Actually the painter threw a quick paint job on it and gave it to his kid to ride around on. Word is the kid likes it but has been bugging his Dad lately for a new paint scheme.
