Tour of Hope- Charlotte Oct 6

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tour of Hope- Charlotte Oct 6

The Tour of Hope rolled into town yesterday and I was blessed with the access to photograph the event for the home that the event was held. The Buddy Kemp House is an important tool of cancer survivors and those families with loved ones who have cancer, in the Charlotte region.

Enjoy the images. Lance made time to ride with this group, and George was there in great spirits despite the rain.

crosscut,
Thanks for taking and posting those photos. There were some great shots in there. Despite the weather, it looked like a great day!

Thanks for posting the pics. Two of the pictures has a riding buddy of mine in them, Tony West. We rode together this summer with a group in Evansville IN. Our group does 3 rides a week and he rode whenever he wasn't off training for the Tour of Hope. He is one hard guy to keep up with, a strong rider.

Mike,
If you would when you speak to him again, let him know that I can provide him a copy of the images free of charge. My email address is at the top of the gallery. I have sent the images to the Tour of Hope media contact and asked her to forward them on to the riders in the pictures so that they may have some pictures of their ride.

Thanks A bunch!

Thanks everyone for the great comments!
