Fluid2 Quality Question

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fluid2 Quality Question

Just curious to hear from those of you that have owned this product and put it to some use. I've read a few reviews mentioning leaking and increased noise with use. For you current owners, would you recommend it?

Mine is still working well after 2 years. I use it about 3 hours per week through the winter. No leaks and I have not heard any noise increase. Before I bought it I saw a lot online about leaks, but from what I could tell, most of the problems were with earlier models.

It likes to vibrate sporadically when I'm in 53-17, and vibrates almost all the time in 53-15 and above (all at 100RPM). It's kind of annoying, but I can deal with it. No leaks yet, pretty quiet except for the vibrating at higher speeds.

I've been punished by my Fluid2 for just over 1 year. No leaks and no noise. It provids very smooth resistance and ramps up nicley as you go faster.

I get a very slight and hardly noticable bit of vibration when I am really cranking on it. However, I'm not sure if it is coming from the trainer or from the bike becasue the vibration is different if I have my roadie vs. my commuter mounted on the trainer.

Five long winters...I even use it when I can still ride outside. When it's cold, I'll ride faster shorter distances, then finish on the Fluid2.
Absolutely never had a problem.

Saris is an excellent company...they make Cycleops. The trainers all have a lifetime warranty. Period.

I am glad someone said this because I would be it is NOT the trainer that is causing these vibrations but really an imbalance of the rear wheel. On the trainer everything is contained and it doesn't get dispersed into the road like it would outside. I also think this is why people get speed wobbles.

I have a fluid2 an early model that did leak,
I've had it for about 4 or 5 years? Anyhow I called
graber products (saris, cyclops) and they sent me a new
resistance unit, and prepaid postage for returning the old
unit. Very good customer service.
I don't have a problem with vibration, nor noise but I do set
it up on a mat when I use it. Mostly I ride my rollers or outside.

Seeing as it comes with one, not so much.

Excellent trainer, excellent company. 'Nuff said.
