well I just got a reply also.
The person as others stated is saying that it is a brand new Trek.
They are also trying to sell it to me outside of ebay
"if you want to buy the bike i can give it to you for 2000$ including shipping"
SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT
Also when I asked about using escrow or paying them once it was brought to a bike shop of my choice near them. They are now saying that they can't accept paypal. Funny the listing says that they do. They want a wire transfer. They are also saying that instead of escrow that we can use ebay's buyer protection program. The buyer protection plan only gets you $175 back.
"p.s we can use ebay' s protection program wich is a kind of escrow....and i can't accept paypal payment just wire transfer cause is more faster and cheaper "
SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT
For any of you that thought like I did that if you could get it for under $200 it might be worth the risk. That is no longer the case with these email replys.
Everyone should report it as a scam to ebay.

Now that it has been reported to ebay, who wants to bet me (00.00$ US) they do absolutely nothing before the auction ends.

wow, i stand corrected. Nice work on shutting this crap down. Maybe E-bay is finally getting their act together also. It took less than a couple of hours to close it after emails were sent.

Good job, you probably just saved one of us (bikers) a huge chunk of change. Sleep good tonight.

WOW!
I just rec'd an email from this guy.
I asked if I could pick up the bike since Center Moriches is less than
30 minutes away.
Here is what it said:
"Hello!
thanks for your email and sorry for the late response
i have attached more photos the bike is trek
if you want to buy the bike i can give it to you for 2000$ including shipping(i will give you free shipping cause i can't meet you cause i am very busy)
hope to hear from you soon with good news
have a nice day
Don't forget the bike is brand new"
Anyone else get this?
I think I'll stick with my Univega.

Write back to him and say that you are sorry that he is so busy, but you really want the bike and will pay him $2,500 to meet him to pick up the bike!!! ;-)
