Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I love the contrast between the new school frame and gruppo and the decidedly old school low profile rims. That thing looks hellof dope.

As some of you may know my Orca was run over and the frame was cracked in 5 places. I contacted Orbea and they said that they do not have a crash replacement policy set in stone, but that they will work with me and give me a discount on the frame.

Does anyone have any experience replacing a damaged frame with Orbea?

Can't believe I haven't posted the 2009 Orca in this thread yet! Anyone have an opinion on if I should lose the stickers on the wheels?

Hot bike; i'd say leave all decals. It's not too much at all.

Is that the 09 rival group too?

One of the last pictures of my baby before she gets torn down and sold. I love the bike, but after a year of riding, I really need to go down a frame size.

I know this is for owners but...

I went to a local bike shop to get a Trek FX 7.7 today and they told me to come back next week to test-ride an 09 Orbea Diem in my size....

My question is - I know you guys love your rides but does anyone here have an 09 diem? There is literally like 2-3 reviews of it on the web and I'm hesitating to spend $2400 on a bike that I don't know about...

So does anyone here have an Orbea Diem? How are you liking it?

Thanks in advance!

Is there an Orbea owner out there with a take-off or lightly used 90mm aluminum stem (similar to https://www.orbeaproshop.com/products/detail.aspx?id=62) they'd like to sell for a reasonable price? They seem to be impossible to find used...

here is my new Orbea Mitis Ultegra. got a fitting in over the weekend and that made a huge difference. very comfortable and very responsive. this is my first road bike (coming from an old trek hardtail). this bike is so smooth and precise, coming from my old bike. really a joy to ride.
