VW Bike Commercial

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

VW Bike Commercial

A while back someone posted about the vw commercial that show a bike rider with a broken light on his bike, etc. Anyway, I saw it on tv and went to the vw web site to see if it was online. It was not so I emailed them and asked if they were going to put it online. They emailed me today and told it was now online. So for anyone who has not seen the commercial.

Why would you buy a HID when a driver will just as easily guide you along?

My question is, why did the first driver turn OFF his headlights when passing?

I was visiting with my mom the first time that I saw this commercial. After it ended, she looked at me and said, "I though that guy was trying to run the biker down!"

Bad guys don't drive VWs. It's like dressing the villian in a black outfit in the old westerns.

By the way I drive a VW and have a Trek; the Discovery jersey is on backorder....

Sort of did the same this evening. Along the Mount Vernon Trail there is a really dark area just south of the beltway. A commuter biker in front of me had panniers with reflective tape but no lights. It was well past dark at this point, so I trailed him and shined my headlight for the both of us for a little bit before I had to get to my turnoff. I hope he got home safe - the rest of the trail is awfully dark towards Mount Vernon.

Don't have Bi-Xenon HIDs, but they are steerable
