Ok guys and gals. I love seeing your pics so here's some of mine.
Fall weather changes quick up here. Last week was crappy but friday was great. I figured I should take advantage of it, (sunny, high 60's) so I did Grand Rapids to Grand Haven (on Lake Michigan), a 90 mi round trip. Most of the route is along Leonard St., which is a nice quiet two laner. I put on arm and leg warmers, tossed the digital camera in the saddle bag and took off around 11am. 18-19 is my usual cruising speed on flats but today I took it a little easier, just to smell the roses a little and give me something to get me through the winter, if you know what I mean. We dont have full fall colors yet, but enough for some good pics.
#1- Small town of Lamont. This is a usual rest stop for the 100 Grand tour I sometimes ride in. A roadie was coming up on my back as I snapped this, I should have gotten him the pic.
#2- Looking south. Grand River in the distance.
#3- Leonard St. No shoulder here, but no traffic either. Nice maples.
#4- I passed through the town of Spring Lake, took a bike path that runs along the side of a draw bridge and come into Grand Haven, a mid sized town on the east side of Lake Michigan. They've got a long bike/ pedestrian walkway that ends at a pier and an old, not very picturesque lighthouse.
#5- I took a break at the end. I wanted to be able to say I got passed by a boat
It's a Trek 5200.

Nice pics. Michigan in the fall is an awesome place/time for a ride. I will be flying into GR next week on business. I would bring my bike but I will be way too busy for a ride this trip. Perhaps on my next trip in November.
