Trek Pilot 2.1 vs 2100

Trek Pilot 2.1 $1430 vs Trek 2100 $1469 are these two bikes the same and what is the difference between the two besides the paint. And which one would you buy? Is it better then Allez Elite? I find the Elite seat to far back then Trek frame also like the carbon seat stays gives a better ride.

These bikes are different. The 2100 is a straight performance road bike, the Pilot 2.1 is more of a
comfort road bike. They have difference geometry as well. I just ordered the 2.1 from my LBS.
supposed to be in soon. So, I guess thats my answer, I would get the pilot, but the 2100 is nice
too.

The 2 bikes fit a lot different. Buy the one that fits your riding style the best.

AS johnny99 said, the 2 Trek bikes and the Allez have different geometries. Make sure your LBS fits you to the bikes. Try them not only on the road, but on a trainer in the shop. This way they can look at your preferred riding position. With the long headset and spacers, you can lower the handle bars on the 2.1 from the "even with the seat position", but it won't be as low as the 2100 or Allez.

You need to ride them both. I thought I wanted a Pilot, liked the 2100, and bought a Cannondale, all based on what felt the best in test rides. All good bikes, just choose what fits best.
