Hiya gang!
Well I went up to Canada again last week to see my sweetie. While I was there we went up to a small village in Ontario called Elora. It is a small mill town along a river gorge with some really nice hills and some gorgeous scenery. Once again I did not have my bike with me (@##@!$!) but we did get to drive a good bit through the area and see alot. Do any of you Canadian riders ride this area and have any insights for me as to the riding up there? I will try to post some pics as soon as I get my computer fixed....it crashed the day I left to go up there.
It appeared to have a nice pub called The Shepherd's Pub, but it didn't open until 4 in the afternoon and we were there before it opened. Any help would be, as always, appreciated.
Cheers,
Brian

There is a great restaurant in the mill. I have camped about 35 yrs ago at Elora gorge a couple of miles down the river from the village. Elmira, which is near there, is worth visiting on a Sunday when all the Mennonites go to church with their horse drawn buggies. Lots of good stuff at Kitchener farmer's market.

Hey jimbud...thanks for the link. I, however already have it. I was really just wondering if there was anyone that has ridden up there who may have some ideas as to route ideas and the like. I do appreciate the help just the same.
Cheers,
Brian

Kind of cold riding in Canada right now, isn't it?
When I lived in New York, a lot of riders I knew liked to ride on the Canadian side of Niagra Falls. I never made the trip, but there's supposed to be some great hills and wonderful scenery along the trails there.

It's getting pretty chilly. The temp has been hovering around 5 C (or 41 F to you Yanks) where I am. It's also been either raining or damp for the last week.
Winter's just around the corner. Can't wait for snow.

I live in Detroit which is actually north of Canada, and I can attest: it's getting chilly.
The best part of living in Detroit is being close to Ontario.
Guelph is a cool town. Goderich is awsome.
There's some good surfing at Ipperwash Beach.
Will check out Elora on my next trip across the 402.
