The best/worst century? The Road to Hugel
This is just one of those weird Austin phenomenons. Pretty much an "unofficial ride" - people just show up on their bikes, and proceed to climb every major hill in Austin. I haven't done it yet, they've been doing it for a couple of years now. I'm told all in all its about 100 miles with roughly 9000 feet of climbing. Thats not the whole story though, because I've ridden a lot of the climbs listed and know for a fact a lot/most of them are over 13 degree grade and several of them are over 20 degree grade. Jester is roughly a half mile long and a 21 degree grade - a real knee buster.
Here's a link to the post about it on bikemojo (an austin bb) that has some more details. Still not sure I'm going to do it - sounds pretty crazy to do all that in one day. I know we have a lot of Austin roadies here though so I thought I'd mention it.
