Last Upgrade...for now
I thought I was done, but then I came across an Arione with a red accent. So when the Tandem needed a new seat, my Terry Fly moved to the tandem and Arione was in it's place on my bike. Granted I've not even tried it yet, reviews are good, so hopefully it will be as comfortable as people say. I could have simply bought another Terry Fly, but hard to resist the glowing reviews and when I saw the black/red version, I guess that was all she wrote. I'll try to give the saddle a more formal review after a few miles, but I do like the look.

D*mn, that is a good looking saddle. Great match for your ride.
Where abouts in Eastern Indiana are you located? I live in Southwestern Indiana and I am thinking about doing some rides on your side of the state for something different. Mike |
SWEET looking bike man!
|
I vote R900's R900 as the best looking, most classy ride on BF.
Dang man, that is a sweet deal, it just all fits so...PERFECTLY! :) |

Nice seat upgrade. I considered a black and red saddle on my black/red/brushed aluminum Trek. Check out the bar wrap I used, Cinelli bicolor. It would look great on your bike.

14max... Lets see some pics, I almost bought the R700 Matte Grey, it is sharp...
jsharr... Wow, I might give it a try next time I wrap, very sharp... hi565... You are too easy... Goldnblazer... I'm in Richmond, but mostly ride in rural Ohio, just closer to the house. I did the Ghost ride in St. Leon a couple weeks ago, it was nice with some good sized hills. Thinking about the RAIN and/or the Hilly 100 for next year... we will see how the year goes... Thanks guys, I always love seeing eveyone's rides, so why not snap a couple shots of mine. Today was likely the last ride in shorts and a jersey for the year, other then windy not bad... John |

Hey R900,
We are practically neighbors! Bike looks great and I'm very interested in a report on the saddle. I've been looking at those for quite awhile and the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger is because of the price vs. uncertainty if it will work for me personally. I've never done the RAIN but I can say the Hilly 100 is quite a workout! :D |
It's a nice saddle, but I think it would have been better if you had found the Saeco edition of the saddle with the silver body and red stripe. Then again, you may not have been willing to fork out full price for the Saeco saddle.
And I'm going to have to throw in another pic of my blue R700: http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/1...tesmall6ai.jpg |
That's a nice looking bike too hmai18!

hmai18,
I saw the Saeco and the new '06 is red/silver in reverse, and looks sharp, but I guess being an older guy I went for less flash. The blue silver would look good on that R700 - very sharp as well. What tires are you running? http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/i/05/66/0b/40_1.JPG John

Michelin Pro Race2's. Will likely be getting Vittoria Corsa EVO CX's for next season once i wear these suckers bare. I need to update that photo since I've changed to Ritchey WCS classic-drop bars, a WCS seatpost and a WCS stem lowered as far as it will go.
I went with the black saddle because I was able to get it for a steal. That, and I'd be able to transfer it to another bike without clashing colours. Yeah, I'm already worrying about colour coordination on a bike I don't even own and don't plan on owning for another few years. |
that's quite a nice lookin bike ya got there.
|
What kind of wheels are those?
|
The wheels on the R900 are Gipiemme Grecal Parades and Shimano WH-R550s on the R700.
