Need a good ride in Fresno Saturday

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need a good ride in Fresno Saturday

We are visiting folks in Fresno this weekend and hoping someone can recommend a good route for Saturday morning. Will be staying in Sunnyside but will have acces to car . Somewhere in the 40 -60 mile range with some good climbs, speedy descents would be fun.

My brother lives in Fresno and is a pretty avid cyclist. For around 60 miles, he'll head into Maderia and do a loop back. For hills, the road to Shaver Lake (5000ft in 18 miles, something like that) will kick just about anyone's butt, head up to Huntington if you still have some legs left. Go here and surf around a bit. Hit the links section and it'll lead you to some other local bike clubs that have routes and forums. Great cycling up there, you should have a lot of fun!
