Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's a Centaur group? Not a bad price, but I would upgrade to a matching Centaur carbon crank just for bling.

In my opinion, the De Rosa you were obsessing on a few weeks ago, is much more attractive

I like Scott's. You don't seem them on every corner either like Cannondale's and Trek's.

It's a black bike that says 'Scott' on it. If your name is Scott, you're set.

There was a guy on Runner's World shoe forums, 5 years ago, went by the name "Baby Jingles," who was always obsessing about some new running shoes. Kind of the way that you do with bikes, Sin. Except you're a fair bit more knowledgable about bikes than he was about running shoes.

Yeah I know. That Neo Primato and the Waterfords are gorgeous and would both be about $3800 with full Record! I just don't think a steel frame should cost $1800 in the era of carbon -they should be giving them away. I'm inquiring abouit De Bernardi steel frames that are about $450- $1000 andthe Cinelli SuperCorsa is $995 w/fork.

I love bargains, particulary a chance to get a modern weight weenie bike for wholesale -about $2500 if I force the issue. The 06's are about $4000.00

I'll do the taste test on the Scott after my 40 mile group ride tomorrow morning. If the CR1 accelerates like bat out of hell at 4 lbs lighter than my Lemond and the BB isn't flexing all over the place (I'm 195 lbs), I will be very tempted to lay the cash out on that baby!

This is so different from the Waterford. What gives, have gone over to the dark side of Plastic? I think I'm going to be sick.

God, I miss running. It's so...cheap. Back then, even the most expensive shoes I could dream about were still cheaper than a Wally-World bike. (Sigh.)

I have a thing for black bikes, so that bike won me over. I have to agree with Patriot, though. You need a black crank on there.
