What is a Mavic equivalent of Bontrager Race Lite wheel?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What do you guys think of the Bontrager Race Lite? Are they decent? What Mavic is equal or slighty better than this wheel? Don't want to get too expensive! Thanks.

Kysrium SL. little bit lighter. bladed spokes. lighter wallet.

For an even lighter wallet, go for the Kysrium ES.

Didn't somebody want all black spokes with just one red one?

While I have NO personal input to the Mavic Elites I will offer my $.02...love the ambiguity of the Internet.

I had Bontrager "Race" on my Zuirch and had a similar debate about changing the wheels last year...so I shopped and shopped and read all I could about the Mavic's, the better Bontragers, the Am. Classic's, etc.

I went with Velomax Orion II's and couldn't be happier. I went to RoadBikeReview and bought them brand new for like $400! They're strong, stiff and fast and more than 2/3 of a pound lighter then the Bontragers I had, lighter than the Mavic's too.

BUT, if you want Mavic's I'd say go with the Elite's or the SSC SL's. Colorado Cyclist has the SSC's on sale for like $700 right now.

Good luck.

The Orions and the Ascents are fine wheels too.
