Survey: Material of your bike??

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Survey: Material of your bike??

What Material is your bike made of?

a. Steel
b. Aluminum
c. Titanium
d. Carbon
e. Ti/Carbon
h. Magnesium

Other materials makeup a very small % so they are not included. Also, frames w/ carbon forks are not included either. I think its better to stick to the main material.

Out of eight bikes around here, five of which I ride: five are aluminum, three are steel.

The three steel bikes have steel forks.

Of the aluminum bikes: one has a carbon fiber fork, two have steel forks and two have suspension forks.

The main reason they are what they are is I got at least a fairly decent deal on each one. The next bike, who knows? I think I'd like to try a CF frame. I think I'd also like to try a another, different, steel road frame. We'll see.

2 steel road frames (Columbus Thron and generic cromo)
1 steel 3spd city bike cruiser (1960's high-tensile steel)
