Polar 725 or 725X Question....

Ok. Does anyone happen to know which (if any) Polar watches come standard with a wireless chain stay (rear mounted) speed and cadence sensor?

think the cadence sensors are all optional, but the speed and cadence sensors can be placed where ever you want to put them but i think you want them to be close as possible to the watch unit

I have the 725x and I have added the cadence sensor. I had no problem getting the speed sensor to work on the front wheel but I was never able to get it to work on the rear wheel. I tried changing the settings inside the sensor but it wouldn't work for me.

I love the heart rate monitor and all of the functions. It works flawlessly.

The speed sensor needs to be on the fork; however, there is a site somewhere that explains how to take it apart, stretch some wires and it will work with the rear wheel. Don't take my work for it though...

This is one of the reasons that I am purchasing the Edge 305.... One unit to handle cadence and speed (rear wheel)....

I have the Polar 725 and use the speed sensor on my rear wheel with no issues. I mounted the speed sensor on the seat stay rather than the chain stay, maybe this will make a difference as it seems to be a shorter total distance from the bars. I did not have to change the internal pin settings. I have the cadence sensor, which is optional, mounted also. Not that it should matter, but I ride a 54cm Cannondale.

I have a Polar 520. The speed sensor is on the rear wheel and it never skips a beat. I use the handlebar mount for the watch.
