Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Topeak Road Morph on Specialized Allez Elite?

I've searched the forums, but have found conflicting answers......

I have a 52 cm, 05 Specialized Allez Elite, and would like to mount a road morph pump to the top tube. I'm not sure it will fit without interfering with my water bottles, etc.

Does anyone else have the road morph mounted to a compact geometry frame? How well does it work for you? Are there other options on mounting locations that might work as well? Feel free to post pics if you've got 'em!

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I've got one...I'd insert a pic if my camera was worth a crap....no issues with interference on my 58" Allez Elite.

Mine is on a 56 Allez, mounted to the bottom side of the top tube without problems. I can't imagine it being a problem on my son's 54. Only pic I can find:

Don't pick on my rear rack please...this was for a charity ride and I carried lots of spare tubes. Used most of them too, thankfully none on my bike.

How do you paste the pics like that?

Just copy the URL of the image, hit the little picture icon (the one with the mountain) in the posting window, and paste the URL into the popup. You have to have the image loaded on the web somewhere to use this method. Below the post window is "Additional Options" which will allow you to upload directly from your computer.

Thanks for the picture, twahl.

The road morph seems to be just about the same length as the top tube on my 52, save an inch or so.

Maybe it's because I haven't put it on, but I can't seem to see how the pump wouldn't block the access to my water bottles. It just seems like a tight fit.

I need to check out the side of the seat tube as Crazy-B mentioned.

Thanks, again!
