help with knee pain!?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

help with knee pain!?

I smashed my knee cap against the corner of my dresser this morning, to great pain. The joint feels tight, and it is uncomfortable to walk on. I went out riding to see if that would help loosen it up, and it did, some. Any more advice?

Go swimming or aqua jog to flex your muscles and tendons.

Take it easy in next few days. Don't be "macho" and try to ride it off.

Take 2 Advils, don't push hard on the bike, spin easy. It'll go away in a couple days...

Thanks everyone. I was spinning, not pushing to hard, and it (amazingly) made it much looser. I expect I just bruised a tendon or ligament, which made it tight and uncomortable. I'll try and take it easy.

Yeah, these dressers can be vicious! Pier 1 Imports especially, pretty mean.
Actually, I was playing small-sided soccer in my bedroom with my brother........
