This guy has a lot of stuff, including high end bikes, listed. only accept checks, 3 day auctions, private id's, "0" feedback, no pictures, in the description body states these are fixed price auctions. Scary.

Even scarier is if someone were dumb enough to bid.
Report them.
Report them.

- a fool and his money are soon parted!
:-)
- thanks for the pointer to the name and the warning for novice bf members...
- but it will be fun to watch the bidding!
(one reason i love ebay is for its entertainment value)

it isn't scary if you do your research. never by highend or dollar stuff from zero feedback sellers and never ever pay by check or wire transfer. i would go as far as saying never pay with money order. its paypal and credit card for me. later.

I have 300+ eBay transactions and only only one fraudelent seller that got me on a purchase. He advertised something like "Playstation 2" and he was really selling old Playstations with 2 games. I discovered his play on words a few days later and hounded him until he refunded my money. Other than that everything has been great on eBay - it's really not that scary - heck the OP here immediately noticed a problem. Most of the time they are quite obvious and eBay usually finds them and removes them as they did in this case. Don't diss eBay - it's the best selling forum out there for stuff like bikes and parts.
