fuju roubaix v. trek 1500
I've narrowed my search down to these two manufactures. I'm interested in comments re advantages of one of the other. Thanks.

I'd go with the Fuji. I owned a Trek 1200 (basically same as the 1500 with a few different parts), and upgraded to a Fuji Roubaix Pro. It was a night and day difference. Not only did it fit me better, but the handling improved greatly, without sacraficing stability on descents. The biggest upgrade was the comfort - those carbon seat stays make a much bigger difference than I expected. I road that bike on chip and seal roads with no problems, where the Trek 1200 left my butt hurtin. Of course I don't have either of those bikes now

You should ride both though. Geometry is different between the two frames. I like the frame characteristics of the Fujis better. This isn't something you'll be able to look and the numbers and get. The trek and fuji will feel slightly different from each other. If you can't tell the difference, Fuji...

Why just these manufacturers - or did you ride a bunch of bikes and narrow it down to these 2?
I'm partial to Trek, myself. I'd take a 1500 in a heartbeat.
