You're talking about the Cannondale R1000, right?
Just got a brand new 2005 R1000 delivered a few days ago. Fantastic bike. Exceptionally stiff, light, and FAST compared to my mid-90's R600.
Keep in mind that the ONLY difference between bikes in the R series (R5000, R1000, R900, R800, R700, etc.) is the components. The frame is the same across the board. So, ultimately, when you're trying to decide between two R series bikes, you're basically picking which components you want.
