Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thx, I only wished the LBS took the time to fit me as I've found the 55cm to be too tall and too long. 53cm would have been perfect me thinks. I only buy innertubes from them now as they've lost my big dollar purchases.

New Lemond Tourmalet. They flipped the stem back at the shop, seeing as I'm a n00b used to mountain bikes. No improvements yet and I'm yet to attach clipless pedals.

Here's mine,
I think its a 96 or 97 Zurich. Quill stem...old school, headset completely pitted, I stripped original BB, just replaced the saddle.
Check out the old skool zip lock bag and toe strap.
I like it cause guys in 16lb bikes wonder how I can ride a +21 pound bike and keep up on the hills. These young guys, I don't know... I've got Performance touring tires on it. Nothing like working out with a heavy bike

Very Nice! it has a very stout look to it. Reminds me of a 60's open wheel racer . I bet it's like a freight train once it's up to speed.

Man! That Zurich is really sharp! And I thought my orange Sarthe was eye-catching! Is that the original paint job?

That is the original paint. The blue is metalflake and the yellow is a pearl paint. The photo doesn't really do it justice.

. . .
Nope, sorry . . . the Y2K Lemond Zurich is Red, White and Blue. Your Zurich probably is a 1999 that you bought in 2000. I really loved my old 2000 Zurich but I got it a size too small to be a perfect bike for me. Oh well . . .
