Tnt

(TNT = Team in Training)

I'm 14 and want to know if there's an age limit for that. I like to ride, but my grades are nowhere near good enough for my parents (3.69 GPA, not that bad, is it? :D ) ; my parents took notice and said stuff like this would like good on my college apps  . Although I was a little wierded out at first, I came to my senses and thought it was a great idea. I've registered on their website and all I need to do is attend one of their informational meetings, but I just need to make sure that they won't prevent people my age attending.

what exactley is TNT?

It's a program where you train for a certain sport (running, walking, cycling, or a triathlon). After training, you participate in a triathlon, a marathon, or a century. You buddy up with a cancer patient and they provide motivation for you to keep going. All the money raised by you and your sponsors goes to a leukemia foundation, I believe.

Uh, wouldn't the acronym for Team In Training be T.I.T.?

HolyInstantRice 01-17-06 11:28 PM

Yeah, I noticed that. But I don't think the thousands of cancer patients nationwide would like that... Haha.

the only thing about TNT is the minimum donation of $2500 bucks. If you raise 2499.99, you don't get to ride in the event.

and I believe that the better name for the group would be 'Team In Training Squad' :D

The price point is different for every event, and based upon where you live. For example, I have to raise $3900 for AMBBR from Mississippi. I could do the Memphis in May Tri for only $2100

Why not just find a contact name/number on their website and ask?

Don't let that get you down. That is perfectley reasonable! Heck I have to raise 3300 dollars by october for the PMC!

The part I am more worried about is the approx 190 miles I ahve to do over two days! :D
