Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tom Boonen, Roger Hammond (I've met him), Gord Fraser (met him too) and George Hincapie...I am assuming you mean riders OF good character.

Zabriskie or Basso. or Merckx, based on the fact that he wanted to win any race he entered.

It will be interesting to see how Dave Z. handles himself with all the added press in the up-coming year.

I think he already has stated he knows his role in races like the TdF. It's to ride for Basso. The TT's are his time to lay it on the line. Wonder if he was relieved there is no TTT in this year's Tour...

He's got a pretty dry wit and says a lot without too many words. DZ's a good choice in this post.

Oh yeah... +1 on the mention of Hampsten above!

I have to go along with BigSky. Chris Horner is a decent guy who works real hard at what he does. He's deserving of more respect than people know.

(Pauly in Germany is a scary thing. Can't wait to see the photo.)
