Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If I were to go to my lbs nad test ride a current model of the F75, would that be comparable to this '02 model?I really do not like the idea of buying a bike that i have never ridden. It seems kind of wrong to use my lbs like that, but that is a whole different thread.

If you go and ride Felt's entry level bike (F90) it would be pretty comparable to the ride you'll get out of this bike.

I am about to put a bid on this, but I am just a little hesitant.I am going to the lbs to test ride a Felt F75 in a bout an hour to see if the bike feels good, if not I think I may grab this bike. From what I can tell the bike looks really clean, it does have one scratch on the RD, but I think that is mainly cosmetic. What does eveyone think about this bike? Do you think the money saved on this bike would make up for the warranty that I would get on a new bike?

$500 for a 4 year old bike with Tiagra? Um, maybe I'm nuts but that seems like not much of a deal to me. You should be able to get a brand new Tiagra bike for not a whole lot more, or a 1-2 year old 105-eqiupped for about the same as a new Tiagra bike. Dunno. I just wouldn't pay that much for it.

True, this 02 F75 is equivalent to the 05 F80 that could be bought last year for $650 (I still have a quote from an lbs). Look for a Felt dealer who may have left overs from last year. You should be able to grab an F90 for less than $500 (05 retail was $599).
If I remember also, Felt does not allow warranty transfer.
