Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What did I miss?

This morning I posted what I thought was a humorous response to Euro's inquiry about lbs's in San Jose. I did this because no one seemed to be giving him the info he requested. Apparently, all heck then broke loose. When I logged back on, the only post on it was Euro calling me a name. That was immediately deleted by the mods. I have no idea what happened, but if I started this trouble, I'm sorry.
Somebody PM me and tell me what happened.

I just made a comment about him being a top 1000 rider in his country... he seemed to get offended. He PMed me and told me to respond if I was a real man. He's such a cool guy...

In fine print on the last page of the Guinness Book of World Records it notes that all world records are held by Chuck Norris, and those listed in the book are simply the closest anyone else has ever gotten.

you're gonna get a round-house kick to the face if you keep questioning the chuck norris talk.

Tread lightly.

I have found that people at times wear their feelings on their shoulders here when taunted either in fun or otherwise. It's great. It is like real world but you do it over a PC.

You can't post here forever and never PI$$ someone off.

My favorite is the one where chuck doesn't go hunting because it implies failure, chuck norris goes killing.

All you have to do to see what happend is to go to all the other thread he participate in, cause he is still doing it..I think this guy is the president of www.jerksrus.com.
Seriously.. he (after you left).. explained his reasons of his being here, I believe myself that reason# 1 is to amuse us but he argues that it is to straighten out the "stupids"

The mods deleted the whole thread before I could figure out why I was being called names.
Don't worry about it. I was just curious why I was being libeled. I'll get over it. I understand England has very liberal libel and slander laws.

I just made a comment about him being a top 1000 rider in his country... he seemed to get offended.
Nah, I'm just looking to get a definitive list of people who've doubted that I'll reach that level this year, especially as my season is just starting this weekend.

I think this guy is the president of www.jerksrus.com.
That joke wasn't funny the first time you made it.

I dont know . I just read 200 of them and I was cracking up the whole time. Too bad no one talks about Vin Diesel anymore; however, I think Chuck Norris is hilarious.

I thought these forums were to talk about bikes, not promote how great we are. Euro, I have every confidence that you'll be a top 5 rider in your country this year......what's your next goal, TdF in '07???

Regarding my pal Euro:

A) While he is not affiliated with jerksrus.com, he DOES need a trip to Clues R Us as I have previously stated AND

B) Euro would NEVER stoop to something as uncouth name calling. The British only do THAT to their PM in the House of Commons.

I would like to see Euro get faster than all but 999 other dudes in England though. That would be kinda cool.

GO EURO!!!!

I don't know what I was thinking. I should have known that this was the exact path this thread would take. I should already be on your list, right?

Sure they are. Sadly you don't know the history of the story. The sad sad sad thing abut this forum is the amount of people who actually think this is an impossible task, so impossible they treat it as a joke that anyone who posts here could even brag about achieving it - they even equate it with riding in the TDF. I know (and ride with) about five people who are well in the top 1000. It’s nothing, BCF Cat 2.

No ambition, no vision, no imagination.

Just to point out the (not so) obvious: EURO and *EURO* are not the same user...

*EURO* just registered and began posting.
