Cannondale - deal or not...

I have an opportunity to buy a Cannondale with a CAAD7 frame, Time fork, Hollowgram SI cranks, Mavic Kyserium SL wheels and Ultegra gruppo. Seems like bike has been well maintained. The price is $1,500. What would you pay for a bike equipped like this?

Thanks,

Ben

It it's in near-perfect condition, it's a fair deal. CAAD7 is a terrific frame.

Only if it fits - and if you like Cannondales... :)

Are you talking about the one on Ebay?

How old is it? About how many miles has it been ridden? Has it been raced? Any crashes?

sounds high! I'm after components and watching one with 9 speed DA and Ksyriums on ebay and it will never hit 1500.

I believe this will fit fine - the guy selling it is same height as me. I've only ridden a Cannondale once - about 10km - very stiff bike but seemed to climb well.

I currently ride a Giant OCR2 - it's too big, rideable, but too big. So I don't really know if I'll like the ride of a Cannondale. What is there that I might not like?

At $1,500 CDN or about $1,275USD, seems a bit high for this particular three year old bike. It is the one on eBay for sale from Canada.

I'm in Canada so duty and taxes on entry are not a factor and shipping will be inexpensive.

Thanks.

Look at it this way... If you had to buy the parts to build it up, would you pay.....$500 for frame, fork and crankset, $500 for wheels, bars, seatpost etc., and $500 for the Ultegra group? If so, it sounds like a fair price. If not, maybe look elsewhere
